Okay, so I know there are endless glaze combinations to choose from… but I just LOVE @maycocolors Smoke all on its own! 🤎💚

The beautiful variation of earthy tones you get from just one glaze is seriously amazing. ✨

For this super rich, moody finish, I used 3 coats all over and fired to Cone 6. 🔥

Definitely one to add to your glaze collection if you haven’t already!

Here I’ve used “Australian Alps” glaze from @walkerceramicsaust on Keane Stoneware 33 clay. I opted for 2 coats so you can still see those gorgeous speckles coming through 💚

Glaze combo of the week! Alabaster/ Winter Wood 💚

I received so much positive feedback about this combo in particular, so let’s take a closer look!

If you’re a fan of matte glazes + speckles this is the one for you. Here I have used 2 coats Alabaster, then 1 coat Winter Wood on top (with Birch on the inside).

Alabaster actually forms the base of Winter Wood which is why they work so harmoniously 💚 The brown crystals of the Winter Wood are essentially diluted when layered with Alabaster to create a softer speckled effect.

Kind of reminds me of cookies and cream icecream 😍
